This provides a 'walled garden' that grounds the AI, minimizes hallucinations, and provides verifiable citations for clinical use.

iatroX operates on a regional model:

• For UK Users: The iatroX platform, including 'Ask' (Q&A), 'Brainstorm' (cases), the **UK Q-Bank** (for UKMLA, MRCGP, etc.), and CPD tools, is **completely free**.
• For US Users: We offer a separate, premium **US Q-Bank** for USMLE and board prep, which is available as a subscription.

This model allows us to provide a powerful free tool to the UK clinical community while supporting our specialized, paid content for the US market.

iatroX is a new, AI-first platform. While traditional Q-banks (like UWorld, Amboss, Rosh) provide massive static libraries of questions, our platform is built on adaptive learning and spaced repetition to create a personalized study plan that targets your weak areas, helping you study more efficiently. Currently, our 'Ask iatroX' (Q&A) and 'Brainstorm' features are optimized for UK national guidelines (NICE/CKS). The US-specific product is our premium Q-Bank, which is meticulously mapped to US board blueprints. We plan to expand our AI Q&A features to US guidelines in the future.

This varies by region and feature. iatroX's UK guideline Q&A tool is a UKCA-marked, MHRA-registered Class I medical device (reference 2025042201417535). Our Q-Banks (both UK and US) and other learning tools are provided for educational and exam preparation purposes and are not medical devices.

Our knowledge base (for features like 'Ask iatroX') is synchronized with official guideline sources (e.g., NICE) daily. iatroX's knowledge base, which covers a variety of UK national guidance, is synchronised with official sources within 24–48 hours of their publication to ensure clinicians have access to the most current information.

Only minimal, anonymized logs are kept for performance analytics. No raw audio or identifiable patient data is retained, in compliance with GDPR (for UK/EU users) and other relevant data governance standards.
