A patient with Peyronie's disease, which is a penile structural abnormality, should be referred to a urology specialist .

Additionally, if there is a penile mass or a persistent penile lesion, an urgent referral using a two-week pathway should be arranged to exclude penile intraepithelial neoplasia or malignancy ,,. This urgent referral is also considered for unexplained or persistent symptoms affecting the foreskin or glans ,.
