A 55-year-old man on ICU with AKI is being considered for CRRT. His potassium is 5.8 mmol/L (stable, no ECG changes), pH 7.25, HCO3 14 mmol/L, urea 35 mmol/L, creatinine 480 µmol/L. He is passing 20 mL/hr of urine. He is haemodynamically stable. According to current evidence (STARRT-AKI, IDEAL-ICU), should RRT be initiated now?
