A 7-month-old boy presents with 2 days of coryzal symptoms and increasing work of breathing. He is feeding slightly less but has had 5 wet nappies in 24 hours. On examination he has tachypnoea, moderate subcostal recession, widespread crackles and wheeze, oxygen saturation 94% on room air and is afebrile. What is the most appropriate management?
